Air Con

Air Conditioning

To keep your air conditioning system in good shape you should make sure you run it every now and then (for 15-20 mins at least once a month). Your air conditioning system should be checked and serviced regularly - this is not part of a standard vehicle service.

NEW R1234YF AIR CON REGAS

AVAILABLE HERE

From 2015, some car have been manufactured with a new air conditioning gas called R1234YF. To ensure we can cater for all our customers, AUTOTEST have invested in a new machine, staff training and have got plenty of the new R1234YF gas in stock ready to carry out all Air Con system requirements.

Due to the current high cost of R1234YF, and the various fill amounts of the different makes and models, each job will be quoted for on and individual basis, rather than a set regas fee. We will also insist on doing a nitrogen leak check prior to regassing. This is to ensure the system is gas tight to avoid any potentially costly loss of refrigerant.

 Our R134A Air-Con Re-Gas comprises of:

  • Recover any existing refrigerant from the system
  • Vacuum air-con system
  • Re-gassing to recommended levels
  • Re-lubricating the system and add UV leak detection dye
