Be safe and enjoy your holidayIn the rush to get away on holiday, it’s easy to overlook checking the car. As well as checking that it has enough fuel and water in the wash bottle, don’t forget that you should check your tyre pressures, especially as the car is likely to be loaded up rather more than usual. Don’t be tempted to take the kitchen sink just because you can. An overloaded car will use more fuel and will take longer to stop, as well as being less stable. If you have a long journey ahead of you, take regular breaks and let everyone walk around for a while. Although you’ll want to get to your destination as soon as possible, don’t drive when you’re tired. Stop and have a break, some exercise and a coffee if you’re feeling tired. It’s better to get there late than not at all!
